BlueCross and BlueShield of South Carolina values the relationships we have with the providers who participate in our network for the Service Benefit Plan. We regret to inform you that TriMed Services is a non -preferred provider and as of April 1, 2021 we will no longer be contracting with them.

TriMed will be reimbursed based on our Non-participating Provider Allowance. In addition to applicable coinsurance and deductibles, members that have BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Service Benefit Plan-Standard Option will be responsible for the difference between our allowance and the provider’s billed charge. 

If the member has BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Service Benefit Plan-Basic Option or FEP Blue Focus, benefits are not available for care performed by non-preferred providers except in certain situations, such as emergency care. Therefore, Basic Option or FEP Blue Focus benefits not will be available for care performed by TRIMED after April 11, 2021.

Our members can maximize their benefits by continuing to use preferred providers. The nearest preferred facilities and affiliated providers are:
